If you’re planning a visit to Cleveland Golf Club, you’re in for something special. A true links experience, a warm welcome, and a course that will stay with you long after the final putt drops—here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your day with us.
Cleveland is a championship links course that offers a genuine and rewarding test of golf. Shaped by its coastal surroundings, the course plays differently every day depending on the wind and conditions—exactly as links golf should.
We’re also perfectly positioned if you’re exploring golf in the region, with several other top venues nearby. Whether you’re planning a dedicated golf trip or just looking to experience something new, Cleveland is a fantastic addition to your itinerary.
Visitors often comment on the great value for money, as well as the excellent year-round condition of the course—something we take real pride in.
We aim to make booking as easy and flexible as possible. If you’re booking within 6 days you can book your tee time online in just a few clicks. If you’re booking more than 6 days in advance you can simply get in touch with our office, and our friendly team will be happy to help plan your visit.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always happy to help.
Arriving a little early is always a good idea, giving you time to settle in and prepare for the challenge ahead.
We have a driving range and short game area just a short walk from the clubhouse, as well as a putting green right next to the first tee, so you can take a few minutes to get a feel for the pace of the greens and the conditions—you’ll thank yourself on the first tee!
Your round begins with a par 3 opening hole—and it’s by no means a gentle start. It’s a great way to focus the mind straight away and set the tone for your round.
As you move through the early holes, there are chances to build momentum, with three par fives across the next seven holes offering real scoring opportunities.
Cleveland is a traditional “out and in” links course, which means the 9th hole is the furthest point from the clubhouse. You won’t pass the clubhouse again until your round is complete so we recommend bringing along any food and drinks you’ll need before you head out.
A handy local tip: when playing holes heading back towards Redcar, you’ll often spot “The Spire” in the distance—it’s a useful guide for your line from the tee.
And as you reach the end of your round, the 18th hole provides a memorable finish, bringing you right back in front of the clubhouse—perfect for soaking in the moment.
Once you’ve finished, you’ll always receive a warm welcome back in the clubhouse. It’s the ideal place to relax, reflect on your round, and enjoy some well-earned food and drinks.
Our bar and dining area are located on the first floor, offering a fantastic view out across the course—perfect for watching golfers come up the 18th. You’ll find the stairs to the left after the Pro Shop as you enter the clubhouse, and a lift is also available for easy access.
Please check our visitor information page for current food serving times ahead of your visit.
